Dan leads measurable.energy and along with co-founder Josh, began m.e back in 2018 with the vision of eliminating all wasted energy from buildings. Dan focuses on creating the vision and realising the potential of using technology to improve environmental sustainability. His laser focus is to create a business that not only makes a profit, but measurably helps the planet and people.
Over the past 15 years Dan’s had a career spanning the early days of sustainability and technology, leading the charge to quantify and manage the environmental impacts of technology services, in particular cloud computing. He gained his Engineering Doctorate (EngD) working at Microsoft, where he published several new methodologies to scientifically quantify the environmental impacts of software services. Dan founded Qingtech in 2012 to help large organisations take the lead and quantify and manage the environmental impacts of technology. Microsoft, Google and BBC are just some of the clients that Dan’s worked with to help them move forward and manage sustainability.

With a background in Environmental and Marine Science from the University of Plymouth, Adam is dedicated to advancing scalable, sustainable technologies for a low-carbon future. He has led measurable.energy’s growth, championing sustainability on global platforms, and earning recognition from BBC News and multiple awards.
