Thomas Kurowski is President of the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) and Technical Regulation and Standardization Manager at Siemens Smart Infrastructure.
An advocate for open standards, he contributes to international standardisation initiatives. As a voting member of the ASHRAE SSPC 135 BACnet Committee and an expert within CEN TC 247, Thomas contributes to the development of BACnet and the drive towards seamless system interoperability.
His work also extends into the IoT sector and the Thread Group. Thomas regularly speaks on emerging subjects including cyber-secure BACnet/SC and the growing role of smart automation in supporting sustainability.
His experience combines detailed technical knowledge of building automation standards with their practical application in real-world systems.
