The Building Knows First: Catching Energy Waste, Water Leaks and Equipment Problems Before They Cost You
The biggest building problems rarely start with an alarm in the control room. They start quietly: a fridge drifting out of range, a hidden leak, or equipment running when nobody needs it.
Using three real-world case studies from retail, multi-residential buildings and hospitality, Campbell will show how wireless sensors and existing building systems can reveal these problems before they become lost stock, serious water damage, wasted energy or another urgent maintenance callout. The examples include refrigeration and environmental monitoring across a national retail estate, LoRaWAN leak detection integrated into a Niagara building management system, and building-performance monitoring across more than 1,000 pub locations.
This is a practical session about turning early signals into faster action, lower operating costs and more consistent performance across large estates, without ripping out the systems already in place.
