From Sensors to Strategy
The presentation centres around the need to consider the contribution of operational data when considering a building’s asset value. The focus is on the trend for building portfolios to include their capacity for energy efficiency as part of their overall value. We then consider the role of sensing technology to provide the operational data to support this along with the need to promote a shift towards installing sensors as infrastructure. We look at how future-proofing our sensor networks and ingesting as much data as possible into the BEMS from the outset adds flexibility to the system to meet with current and future legislative and environmental goals.
