Connected Edge 2.0 System
CONNECTED EDGE 2.0 SYSTEM introduces a modern solution for building automation by utilising the latest hardware and software technologies available at the edge.
Rather than introducing another generation of field controllers, iSMA CONTROLLI redefines how automation infrastructures are designed, extending native Ethernet from enterprise networks directly to intelligent field devices through Single Pair Ethernet (10BASE-T1L). The platform unifies edge control, interoperability, cloud connectivity, and open networking into one continuous IP architecture.
The ecosystem is based on nano EDGE ENGINE and combines ethernet based controllers, with a new line of T1L-based controllers complemented by switches and media converters. It is a new generation of controllers with BACnet/IP, REST APIs and Haystack tagging, enabling field devices to become intelligent digital assets instead of isolated automation endpoints.
EDGE 2.0 SYSTEM provides a practical migration path from legacy fieldbus networks to future-ready Edge-to-Cloud building infrastructures. It unblurs the line between LONworks, RS485, existing IP networks combines it into one EDGE 2.0 system.
Session Speaker
Jim Sword is a Sales Professional who has worked within the Building Automation industry for over 30 years and has extensive knowledge of Building Energy Management Systems (BeMS) and integration with other Building Automation Systems such as Fire, Security, Access & Lighting. He has supported selection and implementation of systems in a wide variety of projects including major office developments, research sites, education establishments, healthcare facilities and retail outlets.
Jim believes that integrated solutions have a large role to play in making building environments efficient, safe and comfortable but can also introduce automated processes that assist with compliance, which is becoming increasingly more important.
