The network you already have: turning IT data into building intelligence
Your building’s IT network already generates rich operational data — from occupancy and device usage to environmental conditions and movement patterns — yet much of it is never collected or shared beyond IT. This session shows facilities, real estate, and workplace teams what existing network and digital infrastructure data can reveal about employee experience, health and wellbeing, and energy use, without duplicating investment in stand-alone sensor estates. Delegates will leave with a practical view of what IT can already see, what it cannot, and how to turn that into answers stakeholders actually need.
Session Speaker
Liz Helyer is a Solutions Engineer in Cisco’s Intelligent Workplace Experience team, helping organisations turn the networks they already run into building intelligence. She works with IT, corporate real estate, facilities, sustainability, and HR on wellbeing, frictionless workplace experience, and net-zero outcomes. One focus is making sure data from existing digital infrastructure is fully utilised before adding additional sensors.
She has spent more than 25 years in collaboration and networking, including 19 years with Cisco. Earlier in her career she qualified as an electrician; she holds the BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations award and still speaks the language of MEP engineers and contractors as fluently as that of the network team.
Liz is a former Distinguished Speaker at Cisco Live. She also represents Cisco with customers and partners at Integrated Systems Europe, the Smart Buildings Show and Proptech Connect. She holds current CCNA and CCNP Collaboration certifications.
