Excel Exhibition Centre - Structured Cabling Infrastructure Upgrade
Excel Exhibition Centre are going through a transformation program, that includes the addition of Phase 3, to increase the size of the Exhibition Centre to complete on a global scale, with global clients.
The upgrades of both the passive and active infrastructure, Wired & Wireless to ensure customers, visitors and staff enjoy the latest technology to support their dynamic events.
This presentation will focus upon the challenges of the current / original infrastructure and the planned road map, aligned with venue use changes with the opening of new areas of the venue.
As Excel are focusing on a move to 10Gbps at the edge to support a range of endpoint devices, current and planned.

Magnus Leask has 18+ years industry experience. Working for Hoare Lea since 2016 and now looking after the Digital Solutions department that features, ICT, Audiovisual, Smart Building Design, BMS & Consultancy. He is based in London, Kings Cross.
His passion for the creation of Lean and Flexible Infrastructure across a range of Sectors including Science and Research, Workplace, Healthcare, Residential, Mission Critical, focuses upon the selection of the correct mix of products to ensure the sector requirements and end user requirements are met, whilst delivering a flexible cost-effective solution.
Magnus has background in ICT Network Design, leading Chime Sports Marketing through numerous World Sporting events, including Commonwealth Games, Olympics & FIFA World Cups in the role of Head of ICT & Infrastructure, looking after 1500 full time event employees and up to 50,000 temporary staff on event.
Magnus has been working with Excel Exhibition Centre on the delivery of Phase 3, and ongoing Infrastructure upgrade projects to continue Excel’s trajectory to being a world class leading Exhibition Centre.
This presentation focuses upon the upgrades that are taking place across Excel, Wired & Wireless considerations in a complex, continuously operating venue.
