GRIOTech was founded by a team with backgrounds in energy management, data analytics, controls engineering, and measurement and verification, bringing more than 30 years of combined experience across these fields.
Our name comes from the Griot, the West African storyteller who preserves the past by keeping its record and telling its story. We set out to do the same for the future. Every building keeps a record of what it is doing, written in its data. We use that data to tell the building's story: how it should perform, how it actually performs, what the difference is costing and what to do about it.
That story matters well beyond the plant room. A building that performs as designed uses less energy and produces fewer emissions, which makes performance central to any credible sustainability commitment. It is also more resilient, because problems are caught while they are still small and equipment is not left working harder than it needs to. For owners and operators, a continuous record of performance offers something rarer still: assurance. It replaces assumptions with evidence, and it brings risk into view early, while there is still time to act.
This is the purpose behind the continuous performance audit. A one-off assessment begins to go out of date the day it is delivered. A continuous audit checks performance every day, ranks what it finds by recoverable value, and gives facilities teams a clear, evidenced view of what to fix first. The aim is simple: close the performance gap, and keep it closed.
