Contemporary Controls is committed to open controls and provides freely programmable, web-based open controllers with BACnet as the protocol and license-free Sedona as the programming language. The BASautomation line of open controllers includes the BAScontrol series for unitary control and Micro PC Edge series for plant control with unrestricted access to the BAScontrol Toolset. The BAScontrol Toolset is a free set of software tools to configure, test, emulate, and archive controller operation on a Windows PC. It includes the Sedona Application Editor (SAE) programming tool, BASbackup project archiving tool, and BASemulator controller emulation tool.

The BASemulator emulates the BAScontroller operation on a PC and allows users to experience controller operation in a virtual environment before obtaining physical units. Users can develop and test automation applications even without the actual controller, allowing them to “try before they buy.”

Pre-built Sedona applications for common HVAC applications are available as a free download to facilitate project implementation. The application packages include support documentation, a pre-assigned BACnet points list, sequence of operation, system schematic and suggested device list.

Contemporary Controls provides robust Ethernet devices like switches and IP routers to complete your building infrastructure. Secure VPN Access provides easy troubleshooting and maintenance for remote sites.
