Matt Dawson MBE is one of the UK’s most successful rugby players & captains, having played a key role in England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup winning side and toured three times with the British and Irish Lions.
Having played domestically for Northampton and London Wasps, Matt was England’s most-capped scrum-half, winning 77 caps for his country, including nine as captain.
Since retiring from rugby, Matt has forged a career in television and media, including captaining on BBC One’s A Question of Sport and successful appearances on Celebrity MasterChef and Strictly Come Dancing.
Media continues to play an important role in his life. He is a rugby analyst for Radio 5 Live and has substantial experience in written journalism.
In 2010, Matt successfully transitioned into the corporate world, initially in ambassadorial roles but more recently in board positions with facilities giant Sodexo and The Instant Group. Instant is a leading provider of flexible workspace solutions, including serviced offices, coworking spaces and meeting rooms.
In addition to his work commitments, Matt is a patron of several charities, including The Black Heart Foundation, as a Trustee, Bowel Cancer UK and Well-being of Women.
